All unsold items are donated to the following charities: Babies Home Supports an orphanage in Zimbabwe Children's Aid Society of Toronto The Children's Aid Society of Toronto is one of the largest child welfare organizations in Canada. Because of their belief in the importance of early intervention, they provide assessments, crisis intervention, counseling and services to prevent child abuse and neglect. In addition, they help vulnerable communities to protect and support their children. Clothesline ClotheslineŽ is the Canadian Diabetes Association's clothing and household item collection program. In 2005, the program diverted more than 40 million kilograms of clothing and household items from landfill sites across Canada. Items accepted for collection include clothing, linens, dishes, toys, furniture as well as knick-knacks. Jane & Finch Community Centre A community based organization driven by passion, innovation and a strong commitment to social justice, community engagement and collaboration. SPECIAL NOTE: Although used car seats can not be sold at the Great Kids Stuff Sale, the Jane & Finch Community Centre is happy to take them as a donation. St.Ninian's Food Bank One of the Daily Bread Food Banks that provide food to more than 170 community-based agencies. These agencies run almost 200 food relief programs including a network of neighbourhood food banks and meal programs. Olly Shoes Distributes shoes to various charities in need of children's footwear Rosalie Hall Since 1914 Rosalie Hall has been providing a comprehensive range of early intervention, prevention and treatment services meeting the needs of young families from Scarborough and across the Toronto Region. We are part of an international family providing health and social services as a living expression of the compassionate mission of the Misericordia Sisters. St. Philip Neri community Urban Family Health Team This new site operates in coordination with St. Joseph's Health Centre's current Family Medicine Centre, providing comprehensive care for patients and their families. Individual Families in Need We often have people approach us to collect for families in need. We are always happy to help those who need help. We are currently seeking additional charitable organizations that can use children's clothing, shoes, bedding, toys, strollers, cribs, books, etc. If you are a charity that services families in need of these types of items, please contact us. info@greatkidsstuffsale.com |
