great kids stuff sale
All unsold goods from the April 2008 sale were donated to the
following charities:

Children's Aid Society of Toronto
We protect children from abuse including neglect, help parents
build healthy families and provide a safe, nurturing place for
children and young adults to grow up and realize their
dreams.

Clothesline
ClotheslineŽ is the Canadian Diabetes Association's clothing
and household item collection program. In 2005, the program
diverted more than 40 million kilograms of clothing and
household items from landfill sites across Canada. Items
accepted for collection include clothing, linens, dishes, toys,
furniture as well as knick-knacks.

Eastview Neighbourhood Community Center
As a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, a
leading national, youth-serving organization dedicated to
providing quality services that promote the healthy growth
and development of young Canadians, we are founded on a
strong belief in the positive potential of every child. Programs
include; Family drop-in programs and New Beginnings
prenatal program to name a few.

Jane & Finch Community Centre
A community based organization driven by passion,
innovation and a strong commitment to social justice,
community engagement and collaboration.
SPECIAL NOTE: Although used car seats can not be sold at
the Great Kids Stuff Sale, the Jane & Finch Community Centre
is happy to take them as a donation.

Jessie's Centre for Teens
A multi-service resource for pregnant and parenting
teenagers who are eighteen years old or younger, and their
children. We have developed a variety of programs and
services to meet the special needs of young families
throughout the City of Toronto.

New Circles
A not-for-profit social service agency that strives to help
residents of Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park
communities who need support. The primary service is a
clothing bank which provides new and gently used clothing for
men, women and children.

Olly Shoes
Distributes shoes to various charities in need of children's
footwear

Toronto Friendship Centre
Provides a safe, warm and friendly place for those who are
the most vulnerable in our community, live amongst us on our
streets and are at risk every day.

Welcome Baby - Tel: 416-241-5259
This community-based program links young women who need
support and help during their pregnancy and the first year of
their baby's life with trained volunteers. Welcome Baby
volunteers offer emotional support to young mothers through
frequent visits and phone calls (4-6 hours per week). The
program provides information and referral to appropriate
community services as the mother requires them.


We are currently seeking additional charitable
organizations
that can use children's clothing, shoes,
bedding, toys, strollers, cribs, books, etc. If you are a charity
that services families in need of these types of items, please
